The word tensegrity is an invention: it is a contraction of tensional integrity. (re: tensional: A balanced relation between strongly opposing elements: re: integrity: the condition of being unified, unimpaired, or sound in construction). The principles of tensional integrity are basic to the APOGEE Paradigm™. Balance is sought to assure the equitable exchange and support of, structure, form and function. The body is a nested tensegrity system, ever in quest of stability, in constant cell communication, responsive to all that it experiences, physically, mentally, emotionally. It is dynamic not static. Its function is to integrate, assimilate and communicate within its nervous systems, organ systems, circulatory system, and skeletal structure. Form and structure interact with pressure or tension resulting in the integrity or lack of integrity ultimately of both form and function.
APOGEE Acu-Tone™ provides enhancement of the function, the communication, of the nervous and organ systems by excitation of internal motion and cell communication. This via vibrational application of calibrated, medical grade tuning forks to spinal points, meridian pathways, auricular points and cranial points. By bringing forth tensional integrity, the body experiences, balance, relaxation, alignment, pain release, facial vibrancy, and an overall feeling of flexibility and wellbeing.
I am more than pleased to report that the application of APOGEE Acu-Tone™ Spinal Resonance, has proved to be marvelously effective in bringing the body into a relaxed, balanced state, that allows FST ( Fascia Stretch Therapy) to be efficiently and effectively administered. The client is brought to a state of readiness that is described and experienced by the client, to be deeply relaxing and rejuvenating. The subsequent FST process is administered and received with greater ease, for both the client and practitioner.
As I hear, feel, appreciate the word, ‘tensegrity’ as originally coined, representing principles of architecture, denoting a relationship that assures stability and balance, its application to the human condition must go beyond the structural. The human condition is dynamic. It is influenced by perception, emotion, experience, moment by moment. Although an architectural designed structure can be similarly influenced by changes in the environment and weather conditions that impact upon the structure, such a structure is not impacted by the internal forces of bodily need, spirit, emotion, perception, mindfulness, imagination. This implies that all therapeutic interventions are to be guided by "tensional integration,” yes, integration, appreciation and understanding of all that brings about tensional change in the human form. Indeed it is the interface and complement of body, mind and spirit that leads to wellness of BEING.

APOGEE Acu-Tone™ Spinal Resonance is seen as a preparatory process for FST and other professional therapeutic interventions, including the practices of massage therapists, chiropractors, personal trainers, body workers.

A Post Script... June 1, 2017... following this posting...
He calls me his, “Tuning Lady."
My seven year old student, who refers to me as his, “Tuning Lady" expressed his dismay over the number of hours he was obliged to work at a computer in school, in order to complete a "long test.” He reported the resultant headache, neck and backache that he experienced as, “too much technology.” He further stated that he enjoys technology, but not when you have to miss all the other activities that make a school day, and just "keep working’” at the computer, "just taking a test."

He requested, "a tuning," confident that it would bring the much desired relief to his discomfort. His request was fulfilled by an APOGEE Acu-Tone™ Spinal Resonance session. He greeted his Dad, post the session stating, “I am back feeling good.” YES, pain gone, stiffness and tension gone, and ‘back’ being a seven year old looking forward to outdoor play before dinner time. Yes, APOGEE Acu-Tone™ Spinal Resonance is suitable for the younger set … tension release and “back" to "feeling good.” He was then ready anew for the planned mathematics activity. And yes, "The Tuning Lady" did receive a hug.
